Our Eye Doctors

Eye care professionals specialize in understanding how the human eye really works, as well as diseases and conditions that affect your vision – many of which do not have obvious symptoms. Eye doctors know how age and risk factors affect vision over time for young and old, and they understand the benefits and features of corrective lenses including eyeglasses and contacts.

Our optometrists take the time to explain the results of your eye exam, describe your options and listen to your eye care needs. Because maintaining good eye health is an ongoing partnership, we encourage you to ask questions and share your health information, which could be vital to monitoring, diagnosing and treating potential vision problems.

Dr. Mitchell Munson

Mitchell T. Munson, O.D., F.A.A.O.

Dr. Munson spent his formative years in southern California and graduated Cum Laude from California State Polytechnic University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology.  He received a second Bachelor of Science degree in Visual Science and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1986.

He Co-Founded Highlands Ranch Vision Center in 1988 and has been active in the Highlands Ranch community serving as the Medical Coordinator of the Channel 9 Health Fair as well as serving on the Douglas County Planning Commission. He has been an active member of the Colorado Optometric Association since 1986 and served as President of the organization from 1995-96.  He is a Past President of the Southwest Council of Optometry and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry. He was elected to the Board of Trustees of the American Optometric Association in 2006 and served as its President from 2013-14. He was appointed to the World Council of Optometry in 2012 where he served on the Executive Board for 5 years. He has received numerous awards including the Colorado Optometric Association’s Young Optometrist of the Year, Optometrist of the Year and Distinguished Service awards.  He enjoys golf, fishing, and classic automobiles.

dr. seth huber

Seth A. Huber, O.D.

Dr. Huber graduated with honors and received his degree from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2009. He received his Bachelor of Science in Zoology from North Dakota State University in 2005.  While at the Pacific, he was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, and also volunteered with the school’s Amigos Eye Care non-profit which provided free eye care and glasses to those across the globe that could not afford or obtain proper care.  After graduation, Dr. Huber joined Highlands Ranch Vision Center as an associate in 2009.  He enjoys the challenges and rewards of practicing full-scope primary care optometry.  He specializes in refractive surgery co-management, managing ocular disease and contact lenses.  Dr. Huber is an active member of the Colorado Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, skiing and photography.

Dr. Melissa Kapoor

Melissa A. Kapoor, O.D.

Dr. Kapoor graduated from the Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2010. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toledo. While in her fourth year of optometry school at OSU, she completed clinical externships at the White River Junction VA Hospital in Vermont, and the Indian Health Services in Kayenta, AZ. Dr. Kapoor is a member of the Colorado Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She has enjoyed providing quality eye care with Highlands Ranch Vision Center since 2011. She enjoys running, hiking, and skiing with her husband as well as doing all things possible (as an Ohio native) to take in Colorado’s extraordinary beauty.

Dr. Emma Lundien

Emma C. Lundien, O.D.

A Colorado native, Emma Lundien, O.D. is happy to be practicing in her beautiful home state. She is a 2016 graduate of Pacific University’s College of Optometry and alumni of the University of Northern Colorado where she proudly participated in the Pride of the Rockies Marching Band while in Optometry school, she had the opportunity to provide care to rural areas of Guatemala on two separate occasions.  Dr. Lundien is passionate about providing high-quality care for patients of all ages and tries to take a holistic approach to how she practices. Her dedication to optometry is apparent in her involvement in the community outside of the office. She has participated in Von’s Vision, a charity developed by Von Miller of the Denver Broncos to help provide eye care to children in need. She also dedicates time serving on various committees of the Colorado Optometric Association. When Dr. Lundien is not caring for her patients, she spends time hiking, bike riding, discovering new restaurants, and cheering on the Broncos.
